Be Involved
Everything the charity does, from the work parties and the firewood round to the care of the paths and the pond, is done by members giving an afternoon here and there. There is always room for another pair of hands.
Become a member
Membership costs £5 a year and is the simplest way to support the charity and have a say in how the land is cared for.
- Full membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Insh (postcodes PH21 1NT and PH21 1NU).
- Associate membership is open to friends of Insh beyond the community boundary.

The firewood scheme
Volunteers split and deliver firewood from the community woodland to households in the village, in exchange for a donation to the charity. If you'd like wood, or would like to help split and deliver it, get in touch.
Join a work party
Work parties run through the year: clearing storm damage, planting hedges, tending the pond, pulling Sitka seedlings. They are sociable, unhurried, and no experience is needed. Upcoming dates are on the What's On page.
Other ways to help
Skills of every kind are useful: fencing and chainsaw tickets, bookkeeping, charity governance, and IT. If you have time or talents to offer, get in touch.
